The Township of East Brunswick is accepting applications for a regular part-time position of Video Production Assistant. The ideal candidate will help produce video content and operate equipment associated with township meetings, sports, panel discussions, in-studio productions, etc. Production needs can include capturing quality video and audio, interacting with and interviewing individuals on-camera, editing raw media to meet station standards, etc. The Video Production Assistant will also maintain the equipment and assist in troubleshooting; generate content relevant to East Brunswick; create closed captions; indexing archives with current and legacy media; and other duties as assigned. This position is subjected to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, vibration, and hazards.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Must have a general knowledge of video production and be skilled in the operation of video production equipment. Must have the ability to clearly communicate directions from the program director, oversee all aspects of production without direct supervision, and collaborate with the team. Will be required to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force consistently. Must be able to repetitively climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp.

Experience: Entry level. Previous hands-on experience in the field is a plus but not required. Training will be available to qualified candidates.

Education: Course work in video production is a plus.

Licensing & Certification: Valid NJ driver’s license.
